BOOT(S)TRAPS
tug-o-war
mindfulness open a window
and watching crows
watch themselves
im butterfly dipped in honey
i’m in love with honey-moons
but the light is too much
too bright
rudely abrasive don’t wake me up
let me sleep in these arms a little longer.

there’s stories missing from between these lines
scratch-felt refined
polished and punctuated
thrown in some pile of dirt
to be dusted again by some stomping and mashing
death hurts in absences
could you imagine missing your heartbeat?
films of saliva and tear ducts are taken for granted too often
