DREAMS
1.24.19
no one would guess mornings would be sun
without coats
we never drank the venom
it slithered within out spine
we swallowed fear
called ourselves the torn rib
breathing in panic and xanax
we’re in oddlands
waking up in foam and song
imperceptible crossing
making footprints on the sand
peace in horizons this is farther than you’ve been
just a little shoulder pain
just a little shiver
hoping the world doesn’t shrink bellow my thrill
